Role Purpose Statement

A central part of the UK & Ire Marketing team,the Digital Marketing Manager role exists to ensure digital marketing is central to our marketing mix and to deliver the Digital Marketing plan of activities. The Digital Marketing Manager manages the development and implementation of the various digital-related tools/channels and projects within the UK & Ire (+ Africa)with particular focus on websites activities.

The main accountabilities for the role

1)  Websites & Social media development and management
On-going management, update, development and optimisation of the UK & Ire and Africa websites and microsites and social media channels.

2) Email marketing
Implementation of email marketing strategy including creation, distribution and performance reporting of emails as part of targeted campaigns – maintenance of the DB and ensure compliance to law.

3) Digital tools & platforms development, management and optimisation
Using Web trends evaluation reports, recommend improvement/corrective actions and support any on-going development and management of digital capabilities in line with the company-wide marketing, content and communications strategy.

Role Content

A central part of the UK & Ire Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Manager works closely with the rest of the team and other stakeholders, so Digital is integral part of the marketing strategy and plans.

  • Manage the development and implementation of the various Digital projects within the UK and Africa:

Digital tools and apps: be the first point of contact for all marketing related digital tools; manage their development, implementation and optimisation;

Social media channels: develop and implement strategy for each channel, work with the comms team to optimise content using analytics, increase followers and engagement;

Websites activities: manage the development, consolidation, optimisation and content of the websites and microsites (eg. UK & Ire and Africa websites, HR induction website and all UK microsites) in line with the marketing plans;

Email marketing campaigns: manage email creation, testing, distribution and reporting on performance of outgoing email campaigns / maintenance of the DB and ensure compliance to law;

  • Monitor Web traffics and utilisation, provide regular reporting and analysis for the management team on the performance of the Digital channels/tools and recommend actions for improvement;
  • Use SEO/ PPC and other relevant tools and methods to increase traffic to the website for each target audiences;
  • Research and assess new online media opportunities (tools/ automation systems) that may benefit the business with the aim of increasing quality of traffic to our channels and campaigns’ efficiency;
  • Monitor and research Digital market trends and competitor activity; keep up to date with latest Digital development;
  • Ensure the KI brand look and feel is applied across all the Digital channels;
  • Manage relationship with external agencies;
  • Manage own budget and report on spend / contribute to monthly marketing report and attend monthly marketing meeting.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a motivated and high energy individual with a digital/IT education and min 3 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have basic design and programming skills therefore will ideally have knowledge of WordPress, HTML code, Visual Studio and Adobe Creative Suite.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of creativity and analytical abilities, and be able to use analytics to drive improvement of the Digital channels.

The candidate will have an excellent level of written and spoken English, good presentation skills, as well as high quality standards and attention to detail skills. With a confident and approachable attitude, the candidate will be able to guide the team as well as work within the team.

Pro-active and positive, the candidate will be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment, as well as lead and deliver multiple projects at the same time.
