The Company

Norgrove Building Supplies Ltd is an independent, family run builders merchant based in Worcestershire. We have a comprehensive product range stocking everything from civils, guttering, timber through to bricks, blocks, aggregates and roofing allowing us to offer our customers the full package for building from ground up. Due to our continuous success we are pleased to announce that a position has now become available with us for a General Manager in our Kidderminster branch.

The Person

You will possess previous experience and be passionate about running a branch teamed with a proven track record for driving growth, sales and profitability. Working in a small and friendly team you will be able to inspire, motivate and build your team to help drive forward the company objectives.You will strive to build new and strong customer and supplier relationships and offer an outstanding level of customer service ensuring continuous customer retention.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career and be a key part of an exciting time with a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make commercial decisions to increase sales and profitability through business development and growth
  • Build and generate relationships with current and new customers
  • Expand and build on current supplier network, negotiate pricing
  • Support, motivate, delegate and develop your team
  • Organise logistics around deliveries, supplier and customer
  • Review and introduce current and new procedures where necessary
  • Promoting an engaging attitude towards H&S and ensuring it is up to date with current legislations
  • Ensure all regulations surrounding our Operating Licence are adhered to.

Hours of work are 7.00am – 5.00pm Mon – Fri and 8am – 1pm on Saturdays (on rota)
